The University of Victoria ‘Vikes’ are back in action at home this weekend, hosting the 4 time defending BCIHL champions, Selkirk College ‘Saints’.
The 3-1 Vikes look to continue their strong start to the season, against the 1-2 Saints. This weekends match up will be the first meeting of the two clubs since the two squared off in playoffs last season, which resulted in Selkirk College winning the series, eventually carrying on to defeat Trinity Western University for the BCIHL Championship.
Forwards Patrick Holland and Shawn Mueller along with defenseman Kyle Bird currently lead the league in scoring, while goaltender Scott Legault leads the league with a .948 save percentage. Scott Legault is set to start between the pipes for the Vikes.
Puck drop on both Friday and Saturday is scheduled for 8:00pm, at the Ian Stewart Complex.
